Description |
The inscription on face I mentions the King Śrī Jaya Siṅhavarman who sent a letter to Kamsteṅ Sabhāpati, a junior official, to have him accompany and assist Phra Sabhā and Phra Harapāla in the boundary marking mission in Siddhipura city for a plot of land which the king gave as present to Teṅtvan Pitthve who was performing his duty in the position of Kamrateṅ añ Trī . The king also asked the mission members to explain Dharmma to all Khloñ Svāy. Inscription on face II is about the stele inscriber who identified himself as Teṅ Pitthve. He gave Kamrateṅ Jagad Śivapāda into the care of Tvan Hvar, together with some slaves and other things. However, he did not give anything to the slaves who had been living here before and even cursed them to hell, because these slaves stirred up resistance among themselves to disobey Teṅ Pitthve’s descendants. Between lines 14-19 the content mentions Phra Chao Śrī Suriyavarman who offered money and gold to put into the firm base of the Lord Śiva sculpture and also made a curse for those who would destroy the base to go to eternal hell. The content on face 3 is rather dilapidated but can be ascertained that her son and his wife were supposed to regularly take care of the firm base. |
