Description |
The inscription made on this stupa indicates it might have been constructed to offer to the temple. Ye Dhammā gatha and the purpose of this merit making is inscribed in Old Mon language on the clay stupa to gain merit (please refer to the content of Ye Dhammā gatha in ‘Ye Dhamma Inscription 1 (Nakhon Pathom)’ or ‘Inscription on Octagon Pillar 1 (Sap Champa)’). The inscription in Old Mon language says that ‘this stupa was built by 3 ancestors near the Vihāra.” |
