Description |
Only the words ‘the time when philosophy excelled’ appear on this inscription. However, Mr. Cha-em Kaeokhlai has made an observation that the word ‘Prajñā’ can be compared to the word ‘jñā’ found on the inscription of Mahānāvika Buddhagupta from a rubbing of inscription number 10 (Plate xxib Indian Paleography by Dr.D.H. Dani). Moreover, the way the letters were inscribed is similar to that of Wat Khoi’s Standing Buddha Image Base Inscription, Ban Sao district (currently Ban Mi district) of Lop Buri province (currently installed at the Marble Temple) in that the letters curved to the right before making an upward curve, typical of writing around 12th Buddhist century. |
