Representation of the social status

| March 30, 1969. Social status could be represented in various ways. For example, as Vice President, a person would have many entourages to serve. Given that the person did not have subordinates, it meant that the person was not affiliated to a high-ranked position. Showing paper that indicated a highly-ranked work position, meant that such a person would be respected by the police. Even paying more for goods than their actual price reflected a higher status of the person. | Punch card

Ko Kaew talked about Thai students who were trained to be listeners rather than the questioner. Especially in this class, which was made up of women. Most of them were courteous. | Punch card

Buddhist theory of interpersonal relationships

| June 28, 1969. Bodin answered questions of Moerman by using what Fern had explained about mates. The existence of former life, as Fern believed, determined the nature of relations in the present life. If the mates had gotten along well together, in the present life they became soul mates or called Khu Sang Khu Som. While the mates who were enemies in the former life became adversary mates or called Khu Lang Khu Plaj. | Punch card
