Scope and content : June 4, 1969. The police arrested a Chinese man because he possessed heroin. During the trial, an interpreter was required because the accused did not understand Thai. The police examined the Chinese man’s shop, where they had found the heroin. The police informed him that to cease the case he needed to pay 5,000 baht. However, he did not have much money and thought that he had done no wrong. In the Chinese man's opinion the bribery was a crucial issue.
