Zhuang Studies
Scope and content :
“Zhuang Studies” series (1990’s) -251 records. These photo relate to a co-operation of Silpakorn University and Yunnan Nationalities Institute, China to study Tai ethnic groups.
It was based on subjects of interest of the project participants, for instance lecturers from the faculty of architecture were interested in vernacular architecture, houses and other kinds of building. Associate Professor Pranee Wongtes, Associate Professor Chanan Vongvipak and Lecturer Chatira Yimamnoi studied ways of life, rituals, ceremony and beliefs. While others lectures from the faculty of Letters focused on folklores, languages and geography in the settlement area of Zhuang nationalities.
