Scope and content : New Year Dances around the “new year tree”: the dance is performed around a green tree stuck in the ground. The girls dance in a double row in an inner circle, while the men form a chain as the outer circle. A reed organ player and a lute player are leading the dance. The dance starts in clockwise direction, turns then and continues anti-clockwise direction up to the end.
