Scope and content : January 20, 1969. Bob told Moerman that Athu, the son of an Akha shaman, was arrested because the Red Lahu accused him of stealing (?). However, when the alleged incident took place, Athu was celebrating a festival in the village. But the lawyer refused to act as his attorney if Athu was bailed out, because Athu had a past record, and highlanders did not always come down to attend trial court. Athu was imprisoned for a year before the trial.
