Scope and content : July 2, 1969. In Pan claimed justice for his son, who was punished solely because he caused trouble with Uthai, the police who had influence in the village. He often exploited his authority to threaten the others. In Pan's son and his friends were all captured, but his friends had been bailed out because they agreed to pay a bribe to police of 3000 baht each. But In Pan's son had not been bailed out because Uthai wanted to ‘haze’ him. This case became a fight to ‘save face’ because if two youngsters who were friends of the In Pan's son were arrested, Uthai would lose face. In addition, the penalty of In Pan's son may be reduced.
