Scope and content : 14-16 March 1987 - Votive ritual to ancestral spirits (Phee Meng) The ritual pavilion is somewhat pyramidal in shape, and thatched with cogon grass. A cloth known as pha jong is tied in the centre of the pavilion, where the female descendants hang it in the belief that it acts as a medium to communicate with the ancestral spirits.
