Scope and content : 12-15 March 1986 - Ancestral ritual of the Phrae Royal lineage. Generally ancestral rituals and the knowledge that goes with them are handed down through the female line of the family. However, in the case of the family pictured there are no female descendents, and the men must therefore take on the mantle. Pictured is Nan Dumrong, the owner of the house, who must conduct the ritual.
