Varieties of people.

23 June 1965 - This document refers to the different ways of walking employed by the mountain people. The Ko, Khamu, Kha Hok and Musoe are all members of the Qa people, whereas the Yang, Yao, Meo and Phi Pa are not Qa. Thammachai identifies membership of an ethnic group by costume and accessories. The Musoe and Meo wear different collars.

23 June 1965 - Nan Bun drove a samlor in Lampang. Initially he could make Bt30-40, but toward the end his earnings tailed off to just Bt10, so he sold his samlor and came home.

Bun.

23 June 1965 - Villagers believe that it is meritorious to die a sudden, painless and illness-free death in relatively old age. Nan Centa, for instance, lay down in his coffin, having dressed himself all in white, went to sleep, and died. Myang attributed his knowledge and health to his virtuousness and the fact that he had never lied or stolen.

23 June 1965 - Rice consumption of Nan Bun's family, consisting of himself, his wife and two children.

Lue survivals.

23 June 1965 – In five to ten years’ time, girls won't weave anymore. It is easier to buy cloth than to weave. Now girls work at the tobacco plant and earn money, with which they buy cloth and sarongs.
