Tumpalai Phu Pha Yon
The various engraved drawings can be classified as follows:1. Human figures. There are 21 engraved drawings of people, including both realistic and semi-realistic portraits. There are 9 realistic drawings, 2 of children and 7 of adults, that show the similarity between the real person and the drawing, for instance, the drawing of a person with an emphasis on only the outlines; the description of organs such as ears, eyes, mouth, nose, fingers, toes are not shown. The semi-realistic drawing is the drawing that characterizes the person in proportion but will be inaccurate from reality, for instance, the human head is in a square shape or the muscles of the limbs are not focused. However, other important parts such as ears, eyes, mouth, nose, fingers and toes aren’t completely shown. There are 12 drawings of this type. 2. Human hands. There is only one drawing of a right hand with the palm open. There are six fingers on the hand.3.Animals figures There are 21 drawings, 8 of fish, 4 of birds, 2 of dogs, 1 of a squirrel or a chipmunk, 1 of a buffalo, 4 of buffaloes or cows, 1 of a frog or a small green frog. 4. Geometrical motifs There are a lot of drawings with straight lines, curve lines or lines with different patterns, square, triangle, cross, arrowhead, rhombic triangle, single line, arranged lines, and crossed lines and sometimes the shape cannot be identified. 5.Appliance For example, a picture that resembles a plow, farming tools that show only the head area called “Moldboard plow” or “Phal” at the rear. SculptureCarved of Garuda Vahana at Prasat Kravan
Lord Vishnu wears a headgear with the conical ringed tiara. His 4 hand hold 4 different objects as follow; The front right hand holds a padma (lotus), the front left hand holds gada (mace), the back right holds a sudarshana chakra, and the back left hand holds a shankha (conch shell). He wears the striped brocade at the knees level. In the front, the seam is in the large curved pattern. The Sculpture depicts as Vishnu sitting on the top of the winged humanoid creature with bird feathers covered the outer part of the body, presumably to be Garuda, the vahana (mount) of Lord Vishnu.

goddess Lakshmi wears a headgear with the conical ringed tiara. His 4 hand hold the objects belong to Vishnu and other deities. For example, the Trisula (trident) of Shiva and the Chakra of Vishnu. She wears the striped long brocade at the ankle level. In the front, the seam is in the large curved pattern with the edge of the large belt is also visible. On her left and right are smaller humanoid sculptures in the with the palms pressed together in a prayer-like fashion.

The Guardian Sculpture made of sandstone, has a feral face like an Asura, wearing the large circular headgear, large circular earrings, a necklace, a bracelet, a bangle, 2 belts (upper and lower). At the lower body, he wears striped long brocade at the knee level. In the front side, there is a seam falls to the knee. The 2 belts are overlapped, the lower one has a tassel. The Guardian stands inside the arch. At the end of the arch is the head of Makara turning out. Over the arch is the roof in the Prasat style.

The pediment is in the shape of triangle composing of multi-foils pediment edge. At the both ends of the pediment are the multi-headed serpents anticipating the normal style of the pediment in the later Angkorian Period. In the middle of the pediment is the figure of Narasimha tearing the chest of the demon Hiranyakashipu.

The triangular Pediment is straighten up vertically. Above it, is an arch in a wavy pattern. The beautiful wavy style on the arch is systematic. The the both ends of the arch are the multi-headed nagas as in the pattern of architecture of the late Angkor Period. The center part of the Pediment depicted the story of Umamaheswara.

The sandstone Guardian Sculpture has conical high bun hairstyle in the Angkor Art. The upper body is naked with no shirt and ornaments. The lower body, wears long sleeve brocade. The side of the brocade, the two ends of the brocade that were twisted together and tucked up, fall in the curved line. The Guardian stands inside the wavy arch of Banteay Srei Art.
